A friend of Becca's has been wanting to see some of my other artwork (Besides what's in the sketchbook; over halfway through it now!) for a while now, so when I heard he was coming over this afternoon I thought it'd be a great time to pull my (theroetically waterproof) portfolio out of the closet it was neatly stored in.
All I can say is that you should never trust your (theoretically waterproof) portfolio to actually, you know, keep water off of your artwork. There's a water leak, apparently, in that closet. Not a gushing, spraying sort of leak. We'd have probably noticed that sooner. No. One of those slow leaks from somewhere up high. Oh the joys of apartment life. So I have my portfolio seperated into three stacks currently. Things that didn't get soaked. (Small stuff) Things that got soaked that will be okay. (also known the pieces I couldn't bring myself to get rid of for sentimental reasons) And, of course, the stack of anything bigger than 11 x 8 which was all ruined. So more or less, anything that I put extra effort into.
I've come a long way since the new sketchbook and thankfully it wasn't in there with the rest of my work. The things in it outclass a lot of stuff in the portfolio, god knows. Only a few truly precious things were ruined. Still. I'm feeling pretty bitter.

I like your art especially your Traditional pieces and how detailed it is.
I also love your tattoo art.
Thanks so much for letting me use those books.
I am still using them and practicing every night
I will return them soon
